I've wondered what the hardest thing a Master could ask - not the dying thing, 'cos dying is easy and pretty guaranteed anyway. Living can be hard enough on its own sometimes.
You say continuing to live as a slave might be the hardest thing he could ask - do you think it would be harder if he dismissed you from serving him?
It would be hard... in a different way.

i know that i want -- that i am *intended* -- to live as a slave. So to be dismissed from serving Master Jim would be devestating. But there are days when that kind of "hard" seems... not necessarily easier, but maybe more manageable... than the "hardness" of living as a slave. Those days are rare. For the vast majority of the time, the idea of living outside of slavery to him is... unthinkable. But i wouldn't be honest if i didn't admit that there are the other kind of days as well. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
